About Neelu's Salon
Neelu’s Beauty and Remedial Salon was first established in August 1985 in Dun Laoghaire shopping centre. In 1993 Neelu moved her Salon to 53-54 Lower George's Street, Dun Laoghaire. She has master's degrees in English and Indian Classical Music. She lectured in University College Cork with Michael O'Suilleabhain for several years.
Neeelu qualified as a beauty therapist in the Galligan Beauty College (Portobello Beauty College) in Grafton Street. She then trained in Seattle USA for nail art and introduced it to Ireland in the 1980's. This was followed by post graduate courses in semi-permanent make-up in Paris & London.
Neelu is the pioneer in semi-permanent
make-up and in the art of threading in Ireland.
Neelu was featured in the Irish Times introducing semi-permanent make-up at a beauty congress in Dublin in the 1980's. She has been interviewed on radio several times including the Gerry Ryan show and most recently on FM104.
Neelu was featured on RTE's Top to Toe programme demonstrating nail art and recently on TV3's morning show demonstrating skin tightening and wrinkle reduction techniques.
Neelu has always been interested only in non-invasive
treatments in her salon – the treatments that have no ill
effects on health and only enhance the natural beauty of
the individual.
Hygiene is a priority in the salon with disposable gloves/disposable needles and autoclave steralizers being used. To safe-guard against the dangers of cross infection disposable eye shields and disposable heads for microdermabrasion treatments are used. Professional hygenic disposable wax system is used at Neelus because we care for you.
